Switchback Medical to set up operations in Costa Rica with new plant outside the Great Metropolitan Area

Tacares de Grecia, May 27, 2025 – Switchback Medical, a U.S. company specializing in the development and contract manufacturing of minimally invasive medical devices has announced its decision to establish operation in Costa Rica.This new plant in Costa Rica will be an expansion of the company’s manufacturing center outside the United States.

Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Switchback Medical is recognized for its vertically integrated approach, ranging from design and development to medical device manufacturing. Its contract manufacturing operating model (CDMO) enables it to accelerate innovation, work closely with its strategic partners and offer agile solutions in healthcare product development.

The new plant will focus on high-volume manufacturing of complete medical devices, reaffirming the company’s commitment to efficient, scalable and competitive solutions for its global customers.
