Heredia, July 18, 2024 – PetSmart, the leading provider of products, services, and solutions for the lifetime needs of pets, inaugurated its new technology center in Costa Rica and announced the opening of new job positions.
Located in the Ultrapark 1 Free Zone in Heredia, the company’s new facility will support global operations in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico for PetSmart’s more than 1,670 stores, seven distribution centers, corporate offices, and e-commerce sites.
“PetSmart Costa Rica will be a critical extension of our organization, especially in the Technology area,” said Greg Fancher, Chief Information Technology Officer at PetSmart. “This new center will drive PetSmart’s digital transformation globally, allowing us to better serve our associates, pet owners, and the pets we care for,” he added.
To operate this new technology center in Costa Rica, the company plans to hire 20 professionals this year in areas such as data engineering, quality assurance, mobile app development, and SalesForce engineering.
