JLL Launches New Phase of Growth in Costa Rica, Reinforces Commitment to Talent and Real Estate Development

San José, May 14, 2025. Global commercial real estate services firm JLL took a new step today in the expansion of its operations in Costa Rica, strengthening its presence in the country through a significant increase in its workspace. The inaugural event was held at its facilities located in Cityzen Epicentro Laboral, in La Ribera de Belén, Heredia.

Since establishing operations in Costa Rica in 2002, JLL has positioned the country as a strategic hub for its activities in Latin America. In less than two years, the company has experienced steady growth: since the opening of its new facilities in August 2023, it has added more than 200 new team members and now celebrates the creation of 242 additional jobs, bringing its total workforce to 442. Its local operation now includes 300 employees in its shared services center and 480 staff members nationwide.

“Today, we celebrate not only physical growth but also the tangible reflection of a strong and evolving relationship between a world-class company and a country committed to stability, talent, and sustainability. Since its establishment in Costa Rica, JLL has made a clear bet on our country as a strategic hub for its operations. In less than two years since their first opening in August 2023, they have achieved remarkable growth. Today, we celebrate the creation of these new jobs and a footprint of over 4,100 square meters,” stated Manuel Tovar, Minister of Foreign Trade.

Laura López, General Manager of the Trade and Investment Promotion Agency of Costa Rica (PROCOMER), added: “JLL’s growth represents more than an expansion of physical space—it is a clear investment in Costa Rican talent and in strengthening the corporate services ecosystem in the country. This new stage for JLL responds to the rising demand for strategic real estate solutions in the region and reinforces Costa Rica’s role as a key platform for high value-added operations.”

The inauguration ceremony featured the traditional ribbon-cutting, followed by a tour of the new facilities, joined by JLL leadership from the United States, the local management team, representatives from Cityzen Group, and company staff.

JLL continues to strengthen its focus on innovation, sustainability, and professional development of its human capital, contributing to Costa Rica’s positioning as a competitive destination for foreign direct investment and knowledge-based services.
