El Coyol, Alajuela, February 5, 2024. The American company R.S. Hughes Co., Inc., dedicated to the distribution of industrial and safety supplies, announced the opening of its new warehouse in Costa Rica, from which it will offer a wide inventory of supplies to its customers. The company’s investment is around $150,000.

Costa Rica becomes the third country in the world where the company establishes an operation, after the United States and Mexico, providing its customers with access to storage facilities, delivery services, and inventory of industrial supplies.

The announcement of RS Hughes’ investment will take place during its participation in the MD&M West fair, a specialized event in the promotion of businesses in the medical devices sector, held in California, United States, from February 6 to 8. The fair brings together more than 1,600 exhibitors from 70 countries.

“The strategic presence of R.S. Hughes in our country enhances its appeal for new investments, as it provides efficient logistics solutions to companies operating here, particularly in sectors like medical devices. Additionally, it fosters the development of linkages, opening more opportunities for our small and medium-sized enterprises to integrate into global value chains”, said Laura López, CEO of the Trade and Investment Promotion Agency of Costa Rica (PROCOMER).

The branch will offer customers the opportunity to request daily deliveries and store inventory within the facilities. It is a 1,200 m² warehouse that provides space dedicated to chemicals, standard products, and a temperature-controlled room for storing cold products.
