SAN JOSÉ, COSTA RICA — Accudyn Products, Inc., a global leader in precision engineering and plastic injection molding, announced the official inauguration of its new manufacturing facility in Costa Rica. Strategically located in Evolution Free Zone, this expansion marks a key milestone in the company’s roadmap to strengthen its global supply chain and provide nearshoring solutions to partners in high-demand industries.
Unmatched operational execution
The launch of Accudyn Costa Rica stands out not only for its state-of-the-art infrastructure but also for its execution capabilities, setting a new benchmark in the regional industry. Following the completion of construction, the company finalized its transition to the new facility in November 2025. With exceptional operational agility, the team configured production lines and validated processes in record time, shipping its first commercial order by December 2025.
This accelerated transition reflects a corporate culture focused on efficiency and precision. The facility is not only a production center but also an extension of Accudyn’s commitment to delivering the responsiveness required by today’s market.
Don Stolarski, Vice President of Accudyn, stated: “The opening of Accudyn Costa Rica is not just a geographic expansion, but a direct response to our customers’ need for high-precision manufacturing solutions closer to their end markets. We chose this country for its innovation ecosystem and talent pool, which enables us to deliver operational agility that few companies in our industry can match in the region.”
The Costa Rica facility has been equipped with an integrated technological ecosystem capable of supporting projects from concept to final logistics. The site includes:
• Machinery park: Injection molding presses ranging from 20 to 500 tons, capable of processing complex engineering resins
• Industry 4.0 technologies: 3D scanning and printing capabilities for rapid prototyping and high-precision geometric validation
• Quality assurance: A dedicated metrology lab ensuring compliance with the most stringent international standards
• Integrated services: Tooling maintenance, specialized assembly, and value-added operations to optimize delivery times
Adaptive scalability: designed for growth
Unlike traditional manufacturing plants, Accudyn Costa Rica has been designed under a modular and scalable architecture concept. Its infrastructure allows rapid expansion in response to market fluctuations and customer needs. This flexibility enables the company to add machinery and increase production shifts without disrupting existing operations, ensuring that customer growth is never constrained by supply capacity.
Costa Rica’s selection as an investment destination is no coincidence. The country’s democratic stability, renewable energy matrix, and world-class medical devices and electronics ecosystem provide the ideal environment for Accudyn’s long-term vision. The company is committed not only to generating high-quality technical jobs but also to integrating into the social fabric of the Western region, collaborating with academia and local suppliers to elevate the national plastics industry.
“More than two decades ago, Costa Rica made the strategic decision to build a medical devices ecosystem based on specialized talent, linkages, international regulatory standards, and a reliable business environment. Today we see the results: not only are we a global hub for medical technology manufacturing, but companies in complementary sectors such as precision engineering, advanced molding, automation, and value-added services are choosing to establish operations in the country to integrate into this sophisticated network of suppliers and clients. Accudyn’s arrival confirms that the ecosystem has reached a level of maturity that attracts high-complexity investment, strengthens the regional supply chain, and generates quality jobs, positioning Costa Rica as a strategic platform,” said Laura López, CEO of the Trade and Investment Promotion Agency o Costa Rica (PROCOMER).
“Accudyn’s decision to establish its new operation in Costa Rica confirms that the country continues to consolidate itself as a strategic destination for industries linked to global markets. This investment contributes to the country’s specialization in precision manufacturing, generates high-quality technical employment (up to 40 jobs by 2027) outside the Greater Metropolitan Area, and demonstrates that we compete successfully based on talent, reliability, and production sophistication,” added Indiana Trejos, Acting Minister of Foreign Trade.
