The operation will incorporate professionals from a range of disciplines, including medical sciences such as pharmacists, microbiologists, dentists, and nurses; chemical sciences such as biotechnologists and chemists; as well as engineering and technology profiles focused on artificial intelligence and hyper automation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThe opening of the Regulatory Operations Center (ROC) in Costa Rica represents a strategic step for MSD, as it strengthens our ability to accelerate and optimize regulatory processes that enable us to deliver our products to patients more efficiently. Costa Rica\u2019s selection as one of only two countries worldwide to host this center reflects the company\u2019s confidence in local talent and its ability to support global-scale operations. This hub will allow us to work in a more integrated, efficient, and collaborative manner, with a direct impact on our mission to save and improve lives\u201d,<\/em> said <strong>Christian Swirgsde<\/strong>, Regulatory Operation Center Site Lead at MSD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opening of this new operation represents MSD\u2019s fifth expansion in Costa Rica. Since 2017, the company has established teams in the country including Global Business Services (GBS), Global Pharmacovigilance Case Management (2018), Global Data Operations (2023), and Global Clinical Data Management (2024).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith each expansion, we have strengthened our role as a strategic hub for the corporation. Today, we proudly celebrate the inauguration of the \u2018Global Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Safety \u2013 Operations, Process and Systems\u2019 operation, marking another important milestone in our evolution as a services hub.
