Organized by Medical Product Outsourcing (MPO), the event will take place on April 24 and 25 at the Costa Rica Convention Center, bringing together global experts to address the main challenges and opportunities facing the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Costa Rican Foreign Trade Promotion Agency (PROCOMER), the country\u2019s official agency for foreign direct investment attraction and export promotion, will play an active role in the forum, with two key interventions positioning Costa Rica as a global benchmark in advanced manufacturing and medical technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The forum, which combines specialized training and networking opportunities, will bring together more than 200 companies and around 600 high-level industry leaders, including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), contract manufacturers (CMs), suppliers, investors, consultants, and academic representatives from the United States and Costa Rica. Topics will include innovation, regulatory challenges, human talent, and other strategic issues shaping the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the opening of the event, M\u00f3nica Uma\u00f1a, PROCOMER\u2019s Investment Manager, will deliver the official welcome and highlight the competitive advantages that have made Costa Rica a world-class hub for medical device manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCosta Rica has developed extensive experience in the medical device sector. Evidence of this is that we are home to 13 of the world\u2019s 25 largest companies in this industry. The creation of an investment-friendly ecosystem for the sector has established us as a key global player. That is why it is an honor to host the MPO Medtech Forum and share best practices, as well as the unique value proposition we offer the world,\u201d said Uma\u00f1a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PROCOMER will also participate in the panel, \u201cLessons Learned from Setting Up a Plant in Costa Rica,\u201d which will provide practical recommendations for companies interested in starting operations in the country.
